Virginia Romero

Front-end developer based in Mexico.

I graduated in Architecture and worked for 10 years on it, so I decided to become a developer because I really enjoy when a design is built and becomes reality, also I always found interesting how a person interacts with a web page or an app and for me was annoying when it didn't work and I didn't understand why.

It has been fascinating to discover how a design takes shape and is assembled so that the user can access it in a simple and functional way. During my time in architecture I always thought that the space that the user is going to inhabit should be functional and not just aesthetic, which is why I feel attracted to the user interface.

It was a difficult decision to change career but it has been worth it, I decided to enroll SheCodes coding workshop, I've learned many skills as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, GitHub, Netlify and how to built a responsive web page, I know I have a long way to go, I will keep learning and improving my skills.
